in 1997 EMC Solutions specializes in the field of EMC/RFI Evaluation
and problem solving.
The
company was founded by Mr Neil Harris, following successful positions
as General Manager and head of EMC at Instelec Ltd, Phase Two Electronics
Ltd and Steatite Group Ltd.
During
this time Mr Harris has been responsible for departments specialising
in all aspects of EMC and RFI work, Including both testing and solutions

out for, along with details of engineering achievements).
EMC
Solutions Ltd engineering capabilities and expertise, allows us
to draw up on the knowledge of engineers with over 40 years experience
in the field of EMC, thus giving one of the most in-depth and experienced
engineering teams in the country.
EMC
Solutions Ltd is effectively split in too two divisions - EMC/RFI
Evaluation and EMC/RFI Solutions.
The
EMC/RFI Evaluation division of the company specialises in Pre-compliance
testing, evaluation, consultancy and design development - with the
basic philosophy of helping the client to the most cost effective
route to compliance.
Our
comprehensive Pre-Compliance testing service has been developed
to help designers, manufacturers and distributors, comply with the
relevant international EMC performance standards. With over 40 years
experience in EMC and RFI solutions, our engineers are able to
offer a custom tailored, interactive service where guidance on design
and component selection is available at all stages.Following accurate
test measurement detailed performance reporting and comprehensive
recommendations, the client is able to take the most efficient and
commercially effective route to compliance.
To
complement the pre-compliance testing service, EMC Solutions Ltd
design and manufacture a wide range of filtration products from
1A to 3000A, in standard or custom formats to suit the Industrial,
Commercial, Military and Aerospace market places. These include
inductors and chokes, IEC inlet filters, chassis mount filters,
motor drive filters through to high performance powerline filters.
We
also act as UK agents for several Far Eastern EMC component manufacturers,
amongst those being Kitagawa Industries, Maglayers and TennRich.
As
well as the commercial market place EMC Solutions Ltd is heavily
involved with Military projects and the Aerospace Industry. Due
to the complexities and rigorous standards that these market sectors
demand, EMC Solutions Ltd is ideally suited to working with and
developing partnerships with companies involved within these particular
sectors.
Typical
work within these environments allows us to work on projects from
their initial conception, through to maturity, thus allowing EMC
issues to be looked at and dealt with from the very outset of a
project.
EMC
Solutions Ltd can offer a full range of services covering this type
of work. This includes design and development work, consultancy,
pre-compliance testing and evaluation through to full compliance
testing (carried out in conjunction with a NAMAS accredited test
facility) as well as the formation of technical construction files.
For
military projects this is normally carried out with QinetiQ at Farnborough
(formally DERA), with whom we are now classed as research and design
partners.
